AlabamaWorks Career SUCCESS Guides. The guides will help students learn more about the upcoming high-demand careers and their salary ranges, the steps students need to take to reach their career goals, and the resources available to help them get there. There are sixteen guides, one for each career cluster. Each guide also features six short bios of Alabamians who volunteered to share their story and path to their current work role right here in our great state.

ASVAB Career Exploration Program
Aids in student self-exploration and provides a skills and interests tests that will help narrow down career choices appropriate for each individual and help to set career goals. There is even a section for parents to refer to.
Junior Achievement Student Center
Students can take a career assessment, browse jobs, learn how to manage money, explore colleges, how to finance college, entrepreneurship, business and banking simulations (games), inside look at top companies.
Bureau of Labor Statistics Career Information
Based on student interest, career possibilities are suggested. Links to career information (salary, job outlook, necessary schooling/training etc)

Guide for teens to prepare them for career journey. Source of career information and inspiration. A place to manage a pathway to a career. Assistance in resume building.
Mapping Your Future
Resource for career, college, financial aid and money management for teens. Assessments and games aid in students having fun while exploring.
Who Do You Want 2B?
Videos, games and testimonials of people who took a variety of career pathways. Provides salary information and descriptions of job possibilities.
Drive of Your Life
Helps students learn more about themselves, higher education and careers by answering a series of questions about themselves to learn what careers could interest them. Then they go on a virtual drive to learn more about each of those careers – all in their own customized car.

Helps young adults plan their next steps in life by bringing together the most recently available information about colleges, careers and military service opportunities from the U.S. Departments of Commerce, Defense, Education and Labor.

Department of Labor Employment and Training Administraiton
This job resource has many career education tools. Students may use this to assess their job skills and find an occupation that suits their strengths. It also offers a section just for youth that are exploring career options.
Federal Student Aid
A resource for students that are in need of financial aid to fund college and career training. The website contains requirements for qualification as well as an application to request these funds.
